gated community. Quiet and private, Armstrong's Point provides this fantastic
stage for our classic and historically significant Tudor-style mansion to share
with our guests. Imagine no more, it's all here with our location and setting

Springtime at the Inn is filled with excitement and fresh new
flowers of many
types poking through the earth in search of sunshine. Plenty of crocus and
tulips can be seen at this time and later into spring the lilies, and a wide
variety of annuals all rejuvenate our environment. The trees are all budding
and
this time of year fills your soul with anticipation of the sunny summer days
Winnipeg is so well known for.
Summertime offers an acre of naturally beautiful landscaping to
enjoy.
Perhaps from the deck, on the dock, at the stone sitting areas, in the sunroom
or beside the pool. Wherever you choose to retreat and relax, be prepared to
share your time with birds, squirrels, rabbits, woodpeckers, owls, raccoons and
even the occasional beaver. Rest assured, there is enough space for everyone!
It
is by far our most popular time of the year and with good reason. Winnipeg is
sunny, warm and full of spirited energy as festivals seemingly overlap each
other. It is highly recommended to call in advance for reservations.
Autumn or fall time is one of the most esthetically beautiful
times of the
year at the River Gate Inn Bed and Breakfast. You can expect incredible colour
to enshrine your every outdoor movement as Mother Nature will wow you with
amber, orange, yellow, red, green and all shades in between - and any
combination you can think of! Hundreds of trees in the area add to the
spectacle
surrounding the Inn as the mounds of leaves slowly pile up. Warm afternoons and
brisk evenings offer plenty of reasons to cuddle together.
Winter is a slower time at the River Gate Inn, which adds to
the private,
romantic setting of the River Gate Inn Bed and Breakfast. In fact, the quieter
setting has seen some of our most cherished guests coming to the Inn. They
prefer to relax by the fire, read a good book and venture out when needed or
planned. The added privacy this time of year offers also suits some couples
searching for a reasonable alternative to a Caribbean destination for a much
needed and well-deserved break. In fact, many times, business people have taken
the opportunity to turn an overnight stay into a romantic getaway by bringing
along their loved one. Skating on the river in January and February is a
wonderful activity that breathes new life into the same old same old. The
billiard table, pinball machine, and big screen television are also more
popular
during this time of the year.
