circle? Look no further, the River Gate Inn Bed and Breakfast is what you have
been searching for!
When you book the entire Inn, the activities really
are up to you – as long as they are reasonable and legal! If you need some
suggestions, take a look at what we have helped make arrangements for in the
past.
SPA DAY or WEEKEND.
We have a favourable arrangement with both Vault Salon and Spa and for
smaller groups of pedicures and manicures, Tiber River. This really is a great
way to spend time together and pamper yourselves all at once. A day or weekend
at the Spa can help sooth your soul, relax your mind, and rejuvenate your
spirit! When you’re all finished for the day at the Spa, perhaps head out for
dinner and then come back to the Inn for a little socializing in the games room
or relax with a nice glass of wine.

GIRLS GETAWAY aka: GIRLFRIENDS WEEKEND!
Bond, re-connect, share or call it what you want – getting away together with
all the girls shouldn’t need a reason and works in any season at the River Gate
Inn Bed and Breakfast! The layout of the Inn is cozy enough to hang in your
pyjamas or plan special activities – then crank it up in the evening down in the
games room! A stereo is provided as well as a big screen TV. So, bring videos of
your kids if you have to or your favourite 'chick flick' that your husband or
boyfriend hates watching and refresh your ties with all your best friends. Make
your experience more enjoyable by throwing in some time at the Spa or plan a
little shopping for the weekend. We recommend stopping in at Tiber River and
Cornelia Bean.
SCRAP BOOKING (Scrapbooking, scrap-booking)
The River Gate Inn Bed and Breakfast is a great setting to create new
memories while you scrapbook some of your older memories. The large games room
can be set up to accommodate the needs of our scrap bookers and leave everything
out overnight without it being disturbed. Of course you could hit ‘pause’ and
use the pool, sit on the deck, smell the flowers, or have a cup of tea in the
dining room. The large size of the Inn allows for a comfortable co-existence of
workspace and separate areas for taking a break. This has been especially
popular in the winter months so if that is your situation, don’t forget to
consider bringing your skates in January and February. In case you were
wondering, the room is included when you book the entire
Inn.
BOOK CLUBS
We have a number of book clubs that have found spending a night or weekend at
the Inn to be the setting of choice for their book club. The large size of the
Inn allows for privacy if you want to curl up with your own book or sit in the
dining room, games room, sunroom or parlour and review your literature. The
River Gate Inn Bed and Breakfast has quite a selection of books throughout the
Inn and has an extensive collection of century-old Icelandic books – (hidden
away so be sure to ask if this is of special interest).
QUILTING WEEKENDS
Quilting falls very much into the same category as scrap booking. Having the
space is more than half the battle to making this work and since the River Gate
Inn Bed and Breakfast is over 6000 square feet, our ability to accommodate this
type of activity comfortably for a weekend is proven. The ability to walk away
without putting things away for the night is a nice perk. In case you were
wondering, the room is included when you book the entire
Inn.
TEA PARTY
Why not? Remember when you did this as a child? It was a lot of fun, wasn’t
it? Well, The River Gate Inn Bed and Breakfast is an ideal setting for
recreating this treasured memory. Get the girls together and each person brings
whatever number of specialty teas are their favourites for the group to try.
Remember some biscuits, cookies or make arrangements for them to be provided by
the Inn and enjoy your teas while playing cards or games, reading books or
watching movies. Particularly cozy during the winter, be careful this could turn
into a yearly OR monthly ritual!
